KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes II ‘the Great’, 95-56 BC. Dichalkon (Copper, 18 mm, 3.39 g, 11 h), Nisibis, circa 90-80. Head of Tigranes II to left, wearing four-pointed tiara decorated with a star and tied with a diadem. Rev. BAΣΙΛE[ΩΣ] / MEΓAΛO[Y] - TIΓPANOY / ΦΙΛΕΛ[ΛHNOC] Tigranes standing facing, head to right and wearing tall tiara, holding long scepter with his right hand and eagle in his left. Kovacs 66. Struck from the usual heavily worn obverse die and with a flan fault as made, otherwise, very fine.
